MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP ROUTINE

Well hello there!
I thought I would share with you my everyday makeup routine which takes me no more than about 20 minutes. Most of that time is doing my eyebrows but hey ho, what can you do when you haven't got natural and beautiful eyebrows. I will take you through every product I use and in what order.
 First things first foundation
I always start any make up look with foundation, I'm not brave enough to start with eyebrows. I seriously don't know how people do that without messing their eyebrows up! I have absolutely fallen back in love with the L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Full Coverage Longwear Foundation. I had not used this for such a long time and now I use it every day. I tend to go for full coverage foundations that will last all day.

Eyebrows
Now the best part..eyebrows. To put it bluntly I do not have the most natural looking eyebrows when I do my make up, but that's fine because I love the way they look. I try to make them faded at the front but it always is a fail so I just make them blocky. I use the Freedom eyebrow pomade in the shade 'Soft Brown'. Which people could also say is too dark as I have dark blonde hair but as I said, I love them that way.

Concealer
The concealer I use does vary from time to time but at the moment I am using the Colourpop no filter concealer. I featured this in my October favourites, which if you have not seen yet (click here). I only really use this to cover my blemishes on a day to day basis, as I'm not really bothered about covering my under eyes everyday as I am lucky enough to not have really dark circles.

Face powder
As I have an oily t-zone I like to use matte powders. There have been 2 that I have been using lately and the first one is an absolute classic - the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and the NYX HD Finishing Powder in the shade 'Banana'. The Rimmel powder has never failed me and I have re-purchased this on several occasions because it does the best job at mattifying my skin. I use the NYX powder for the day time only, a HD powder is good to use for work as I know I won't be taking photos. If I was to use this on a night out, it will leave white cast when taking flash photography.

Bronzer
I really struggle finding cheaper options for a matte bronzer so I always seem to go back to the Rimmel Natural Bronzer. I don't find it to be too orange or too dark for my skin tone, I love how well it applies and it never disappoints me! If anyone knows of any good ones, please let me know as I would love to try new ones!

Contour & Highlight
For everyday I will use the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette. This has everything you need for contouring - the contour shades (3), matte highlight shades (3) and the shimmer highlight shades (2). I use the palest shade of contour which is perfect for my skin tone and I use the silvery shade for my highlight. I love this highlight because it is perfect if you want an in between na and blinding highlight. Admittedly I don't use the matte highlight shades as I just use my face powder.

Blush
I am not a massive fan of blusher so I don't use it everyday but if I feel like putting it on, I will use the Mac blush in shade 'Pinch Me' which is good for pale skin using a light hand. I will wear blush for a night out but not really for work.

Mascara
I do tend to change up my mascara's quite a lot as there are always new ones that are hyped about on social media, but my favourite mascara of all time is 100% the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I do love the Mac Bold & Bad Lash Mascara which I have been using a lot recently, so I am currently switching between using the Mac Bold & Bad Lash and the L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll - which is just as amazing and a lot cheaper!

Lipstick
I don't wear lipstick on a day-to-day basis but when I do I always go for a nude lip. I use to use Mac Velvet Teddy all the time, but until recently I have been wearing the Makeup Revolution Stiletto lipstick.

Setting spray
I also don't wear setting sprays on a day-to-day basis but when I feel a bit too powdery on my face, I use the Elf Matte Magic Mist & Setting Spray. I generally really like this setting spray, I feel like it melts all my make up into my skin and makes it look smooth.

So that was my everyday makeup routine.

VERSATILE BLOGGER AWARD!

Well hello there!
As I am still a fairly new here in the blogging world, I never really knew about awards that other bloggers nominate you for. I was very kindly nominated by Mish Mesh Blog (I will link her details at the end) for the Versatile Blogger Awards! These posts are really good for getting to know other bloggers that you may follow.
If you get nominated then the rules are simple: you write 7 facts about yourself and then you nominate other bloggers to do the same!

My 7 facts:

1. I would consider myself a nice/ friendly person, I love making new friends and getting to know people. That's what I love about blogging; so far I have made a couple of friends, and this is one of the nicest communities I have ever been apart of.
2. Obviously this one was coming but I am very obsessed with makeup, its fair to say I am addicted to buying it. I must spend around £50-£100 per month on makeup alone. It's my guilty pleasure I can't help it!
3. Bit of a random one but I hate being late! I would rather turn up half an hour early to work/event etc than be even 5 minutes late.
4. My biggest fears are spiders, clowns and heights!
5. My favourite quote ever in life is 'Everything happens for a reason', and I really, truly believe in this. Half the stuff that happens in my life I really do think it is because of other things -  good or bad are happening/ may have happened.
6. I am a really emotionally person, if I am watching the TV and someone is crying - chances are I will be crying to! I can also be quite sensitive as well and that's what it took me such a long time to start my blog. I used to worry so much about what other people would think, but I have learned not to care.
7. Finally my last fact is that I love watching films and enjoy all genres! What ever film is put on, chances are I will watch it and enjoy it. My top genres are rom com, comedy, action and horror!

My nominations:

These are a few bloggers that I have really been enjoying reading their content!

So those were my 7 facts and nominations! Thank you so much to Mish Mesh Blog for nominating me! You can visit her blog here, she is also on twitter which you can visit here. I love her blog also so you should defiantly check her out!

Thank you so much for reading,

BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDARS 2017

Well hello there!
Can you believe it is nearly December already? I honestly don't know where the time has gone, it's crazy.
I have been browsing around the internet for beauty advent calendars, as I feel like they have become way more popular over the past couple of years. I have picked out a few that I really like the look of and would love to purchase.

1. Makeup Revolution
Of course I had to talk about this one! I love Makeup Revolution so I am really really tempted to buy this one! You do get the full 25 days with a good range of their products including: 3 baked highlighters, 1 bronzer, 6 lipsticks, 4 makeup brushes, 1 eye shadow primer, 1 liquid highlighter, 1 mirror, 2 pressed highlighters, 2 strobe balms and 1 eye shadow palette. How amazing is that, and the price at the moment is only £30 down from £50! What an absolute bargain, I think that is such a good price considering how much these all add up to originally and you can get it for just over half the price.

2. NYX
If you love your lippies you will love this advent calendar! It has 24 doors with a range of their lip products including: 4 matte lipsticks, 3 cream lipsticks, 2 chubby lip creams, 4 liquid lipsticks, 3 matte lip creams, 3 regular lipsticks and 5 creamy lip glosses. If you are open to a range of different formulas and colours you will enjoy opening each of these doors. This calendar costs £50 which is not as cheap as these other calendars but as I said if you are a massive fan of NYX lip products you will love this.

3. Soap & Glory
I have watched an unboxing of this calendar and there is a good mix of makeup and skin care products. I love Soap & Glory makeup I think it is really good and it is affordable as well! If you have not tried any of the Soap & Glory products I feel like this is a good way to find out if you will enjoy them. This retails for £40 and has 24 doors also, you do get a good selection of products to try in this calendar.

4. Sleek
I really love the variety of products you get in this advent calendar. You do get makeup obviously but you get brushes and nail varnishes as well! I think Sleek Makeup is a really underrated brand because I really enjoy their products but I don't see a lot of people talk about it. You get 25 products in it which is great, so I think it is definitely worth the money as it's only £35.

5. Clarins
So this is the most expensive advent calendar I like the look of. It retails for £60 and it only has 12 draws. I know that is more pricey for only 12 doors but Clarin's is an excellent brand. If you like to invest in amazing skincare then you will appreciate this advent calendar. Even the packaging of this advent calendar is luxurious! You get mostly skincare but you do get a few makeup products as well.

Where you can buy them:
Soap & Glory - (this is out of stock at the moment😢)
Sleek  - (this is out of stock at the moment😢)

So those were my beauty advent calendar picks! Sorry for the short post but I did want to share with you some that I like the look of. Hopefully you have seen a couple that you like as well!
Thank you so much for reading,

URBAN DECAY NAKED HEAT PALETTE DUPE?

Well hello there!
I was watching a YouTube video by CocoChic and she was doing a full face of W7 Cosmetics. When she was testing the eye shadow palette, it looked a lot like the Modern Renaissance palette by Anastasia Beverley Hills! So after watching the video I had a browse on the W7 website and I come across an eye shadow palette called 'W7 Blazin'. When I looked at the images of the eye shadows, it looked EXACTLY like the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette. I do own the Urban Decay palette so I thought why not do a possible dupes post? I bought it straight away and I was so excited to try it out! The Naked Heat Palette palette retails for £39.50 and the W7 palette only retails for £9.95! So if it is a dupe then that price difference is insane.
These are what the palettes look like next to each other:

Lets talk about the first thing you see...the packaging
This was going to be obvious but comparing both of the packaging, they are very different from each other. The Heat palette looks very luxurious and sleek, it also feels heavy. On both sides of the box it shows you the shades that you will be getting in the palette. On the back it has the shade names, an image of the brush that is included and a brief description of what types of shades are in the palette. It is all cardboard packaging and it has a tray that slips out of the box, that has the palette inside. The palette itself is completely plastic, and on the lid it looks 3D with the name that pops out at you. The overall colour of the packaging is a light orangey yellow colour, with the box being more of a light brown with red and orange tones.
The W7 palette on the other hand is the complete other end of scale which you would expect for the price. It feels extremely light and it looks basic. I don't really like the packaging of their palettes as they are a tin material which is not very appealing in my opinion. The overall colour of the palette is more red toned with yellow and orange. On the lid it tells you the name of the palette and what types of shades will be in it. On the back there are images and names of all the shades you will be getting.

My first impressions
In the naked heat palette you get 12 gorgeous warm toned shades (my favourite!), a very good quality double ended brush and a mirror! There are 4 shimmers and 8 mattes. Personally I never really liked any of the other Urban Decay eyes shadow palettes but this one is most definitely something that is more me. The mirror is a bit awkward for travelling as you can't see your whole face but a mirror is better than no mirror. The colours are absolutely stunning and it is one of my favourite eye shadow palettes.
In the W7 palette you get the 12 shades and a double ended brush. My my my...do the shades look exactly the same! You also get the 4 shimmers and 8 mattes exactly like the Heat palette. The brush is very cheaply made but it is nice that they have included one. I was taking a close look at the packaging and the eye shadows and brush are in some sort of material that is not attached to the actual packaging, you can literally take it out of the tin...That is not very practical and the brush does not sit in it's place properly so all you can hear is it rattling around when you travel with it.
Blazin' - top, Naked Heat - bottom.

Swatches
Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette:

W7 Blazin' Palette:
My oh my do they look so similar!! When I swatched these I was so shocked! The W7 eye shadows did swatch quite patchy and powdery as you can see, but apart from that they look identical.

The quality
Obviously the real test is the actual quality of the eye shadows, as that it what really matters. There is no doubt in my mind that the Urban Decay palette is one of the best quality eye shadow palettes that I have ever tried. The quality is unreal and the colours blend out beautifully. The shimmers are good dry but they might need a little help to intensify them with some setting spray but which shimmer doesn't? Once you wet the brush and put it on your eyelid, the colour looks absolutely stunning. My favourite shimmer in this palette is called 'Scorched'. The mattes are VERY pigmented so you really do not need a lot on your brush. It does not take long to use this palette as the shades blend out seamlessly and with not a lot of effort.
The W7 Blazin' palette was most certainly a different experience but quite surprising as well. The fall out and kick back of these eye shadows was definitely a lot worse than the Urban Decay palette (which did not have a lot), but that is what you expect for a palette a quarter of the price. The eye shadows are not as pigmented as the Heat palette on my eyes compared to the swatches, but they are buildable which is great. They mattes are nicely pigmented but you do need a few layers to really build up the full colour. The shimmers however are difficult, I can't say I like them because I really don't. You most definitely need to wet your brush, but I feel like it is only a colour with the littlest amount of shimmer in it. I found that the swatches make the shimmers look very promising but when you put them on your eyes, it is a different story. No where near as good as the Urban Decay palette. Apart from that, I was quite impressed with the matte shades the first time I tried this palette, but after the second time I was convinced that they are indeed really good.

My overall opinon
After wearing the W7 Blazin' palette a couple of times I must say it is a really good copy/dupe of the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. I don't really like the shimmers which is a shame but the mattes however are a decent quality! They didn't look patchy on my eyes whatsoever which I do find sometimes with cheaper eye shadow palettes. If you can afford the Naked Heat palette then I would definitely recommend it because I think it is completely worth the money. From the packaging to the quality of the eye shadows, you will not be disappointed. However if you are on a budget and you want to try something very...very similar then I would give the Blazin' palette a go. I would not say it is a 100% complete dupe as the quality is no where near the same, but if you want to achieve the same look then would say it is pretty close to the Naked Heat palette.

Where you can buy them:
Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette
W7 Blazin' Palette

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, if you would like to read more dupe posts then let me know! I would be more than happy to do that for you.
Thank you so much for reading,

GLOSSY BOX OPENING | NOVEMBER 2017

Well hello there!
Today's blog is going to be about Glossy Box. I have seen so many people talk good things about Glossy Box so I thought I would give it a go. This is the first month I have ever done and I must say, I am impressed. The theme for this months box is the colder months and cosy nights in.

Glossy Box is a beauty subscription box which you can sign up for either monthly (which I have signed up for), 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. If you choose the monthly subscription, each month you will receive 5 beauty products. The monthly subscription is only £10 a month! I think that is such a good price. I love the concept of this because you don't know what you're getting and you get to try out new products!

In this months box you get:

Greenfrog Botanic Natural Body Wash - I have never heard of this brand before but it's a vegan and cruelty free brand and all made with natural ingredients which is amazing. This body wash is super hydrating which is great for this time of year. It smells very refreshing as well as it is scented with Geranium and Peppermint. It is supposed to be really calming and relaxing whilst cleansing, I can't wait to try this! This retails for £8.95 for the full size, the one that comes in the box is only travel size and costs £3.95. It is quite expensive for a full size body wash but as it is made of all natural and organic ingredients I think it is reasonable.
Beauty Uk Contour Brush - I love love love getting new brushes, so you can imagine my excitement receiving this in the box. It is a contour brush which is great as I do this as part of my routine every day (spoiler alert - my everyday makeup routine will be a blog coming up soon!). I am always after new brushes and this one is a perfect size for contouring, and it feels really soft! This brush retails for £6.99 which is an average price for a brush, so I think this is a good brush for the price. I can't wait to get my contouring on!
Sportfx Lip Balm - This lip balm is a beautiful hot pink colour and it smells absolutely incredible! It says it is a moisturising lip balm which is so good for this time of year now it is colder, there is nothing worse than dry and chapped lips. I have tried this out briefly and it does what it says, it is extremely moisturising! It does not have a tint to it which is good for me because I prefer my lip balms to be clear. This retails for £4.99 which I think is expensive for what it is but is similar in price to the Burt's Bee lip balms.
Collection Eyebrow Powder - I love some of the Collection products! Especially their concealers so I was really happy to see this brand in the box. I have heard of this brow powder but I have never tried it myself. It has a really fine tip and the formula has fibers to add volume to your eyebrows which is something I need! I am really looking forward to trying this so if I do end up liking it, I will let you know. This retails for £4.19 which is around the average price for Collection products.
Boots Sheet Mask - I have never tried a sheet mask before and this one looks promising! This is a cleansing and purifying mask that has charcoal and willow bark in it. Sheet masks have become quite a trend lately with brands so I really want to try this and see how it goes. This mask retails for £2.50 which I think is a good price? I'm not really too sure as I have never used one before, but I would pay that for a decent sheet mask.

I really like Glossy Box considering this is the first time trying it. I think it is totally worth the money even though it is really cheap! I had a look at their previous boxes online and I'm gutted because they looked so good, I wish I signed up sooner to be honest! If you are thinking about giving it a go you can click the link here. On the card there is a sneak peek for December, which is a Party Season themed box and I can't wait, there is going to be a liquid eyeliner by Steve Laurent! I am so excited for next months box!

So that was the November 2017 edition of Glossy Box.
Thank you so much for reading,

GUEST LIST EYESHADOW PALETTE REVIEW | IS IT ANY GOOD?

Well hello there!
I thought for today's blog post I would do my first review for you! The review will be on the Guest List eye shadow palette that was mentioned in my Makeup Revolution haul. Which if you have not seen yet then you can by clicking here.

Firsts things first...the packaging
If you could not tell from my haul, I am OBSESSED with rose gold. I think it is such a pretty colour and the fact that it is glittery as well? My perfect combination and it screams my name! It is very unique to other Makeup Revolution eye shadow palettes and unless I have missed it, I don't think I've ever seen this sort of packaging before.
I LOVE IT.

My first impressions
In this palette you get: 24 beautiful shades - a good mix of mattes and shimmers, a large mirror and a name sheet for all of the shades. In natural light a lot of the colours do look the same but when I put my flash onto it, some groups of the same shade are similar but you can tell a slight difference.

The interesting part...swatches
Top row:
Second row:
Third row:
Fourth row:
As you can see they look slightly patchy so they don't exactly swatch very well, but I don't judge it just from swatching on my arm, as they may look different on my eyes! The darker shades swatched a lot better than the lighter ones, the first couple of shades did not show up much on my arm.

My look:
Disclaimer - I am not a makeup artist/photographer in any way so these pictures may not look the best!

My thoughts
After playing around with this palette I have come to the conclusion that it actually is really good. Is it the best eye shadow palette I have ever tried? No - but it isn't exactly the most awful palette either. Despite the swatches not coming out the best, the colours blended out quite easily on my eyes and they are really pigmented! The shimmers do not show up if you use the brush dry, but as soon as you spray your brush with some setting spray the shimmers look amazing! I did not get to use all of the colours but from what I did use they were a bit powdery and did have some kick back, but I would rather that if it means they will be pigmented. I think for £10 the quality of these eye shadows is insane for the price. I would completely recommend it to you guys if you are on a budget or looking for something new to try, especially if you like the colour arrangement in this palette.

You can buy the palette from here:

So that was my review on the Guest List eye shadow palette.
Thank you so much for reading,

MAKEUP REVOLUTION HAUL

Well hello there!
I have picked up these Makeup Revolution items over the past couple of weeks and decided to share them with you. I love Makeup Revolution, it is one of my favourite makeup brands. I think for the price of all their items, the quality is amazing!
I'm not going to lie when I saw the packaging to the limited edition Life On The Dance Floor Christmas collection I could not help myself but pick a few things up (which are in this haul).

Life on the Dance Floor After Party Lipstick's
I bought this  from the Tam Beauty website and I love the silver glittery packaging. I got the shade 'Past Midnight' which is a deep berry colour and is perfect for Autumn. I have worn this once and I found it to be very pigmented, but I did need to go over it a couple of times during the night to get the full opacity. It was creamy and very comfortable on the lips. It was only £3, I think it is very good for the price!

I did get another colour in this collection, which is in the shade 'Stiletto' and this is a browny nude and oh my god... I LOVE this colour!! This is my new favourite nude lipstick for definite. The packaging for this lipstick is rose gold which I am also obsessed with. This was also only £3 which I think is so good for the quality of these lipsticks.

Life on the Dance Floor Eyeshadow Palette's
Ok so I could not stop there with this collection, I had to buy a couple of the eyeshadow palette's as well (of course). The first one I got was the Guest List palette which is jam packed full of warm orange/pink/brown shades. This is in the rose gold glittery packaging and I absolutely love it. These eyeshadow palette's are £10, which I think is amazing as you get a big mirror and 24 shades?! Can you believe that! I have not yet tried this yet but I think I might save it for a first impresions/swatches/review, what do you think?

The other eye shadow palette I got is called 'VIP' and this is in the gold glittery packaging. I picked this up because all of my eye shadow palettes I own have one thing in common, there are all warm toned! I wanted to try this palette as it has a lot more cool tones in it, and I want to see what they will look like on me. This is also £10 which does include the big mirror and the 24 shades. I still am not over the price for what you get! I have not tried this palette, but if i do end up liking it, I will definitely let you know.

Sun Kiss Highlighter
I picked this up in the shade 'Golden Kiss', I mainly got this up because I am missing a pale gold toned highlighter in my collection. If anyone has any recommendations, please let know! I absolutely love the Makeup Revolution highlighters because they are very pigmented! This cost's £5 and it is has a really big pan size so I think that is such a good price.

Rainbow Highlighter
I got another highlighter (shocking I know), and this is their Rainbow Highlighter. These rainbow highlighters were hyped up so much earlier this year, and I just never got round to buying one. I have tried this out and I must admit it is quite a glittery highlight, which I don't mind at all, but I know not everyone likes that. You can use the individual shades but I just swiped over all of them and the overall shade has a light icy tone. This cost me £4.

Lace Baking Powder
This is the light coloured loose baking powder that comes in a little pot. I must admit I did think the pots were going to be a bit bigger, but trust me a little goes a long way so it will last a very long time! This colour is perfect for a paler skin tone, I didn't dare try the banana powder as I knew it would be too dark for me. The powder it is very finely milled and does look very smooth on my skin. This cost £5.

Bake and Finish Powder
I also picked up another powder which is also loose and is pure white. This comes in the same packaging as the Lace Baking Powder. I don't have a white baking powder in my collection so I decided to get this one. I am yet to try it so I am hoping it is good! This also cost me £5.

Where you can buy them:

So that was my Makeup Revolution Haul.
Thank you so much for reading,

OCTOBER FAVOURITES

Well hello there!
For my first ever blog post I thought I would start off with something every make up lover likes to know, the monthly favourites!

Now the first of my monthly favourites is the Soph X Makeup Revolution eye shadow palette. This come out in September and I could not wait to purchase this as I am a massive fan of Sophie (Sophdoesnails on YouTube) First of all, I absolutely LOVE the packaging!! It is much different to the other Makeup Revolution palette's, because it is  matte and nude which is different to their usual black glossy packaging. Another thing I love about it is the colour selection - it hasn't got too many warm colours, or shimmers, it has a bit of everything! It is very versatile and you can create many different looks with it. The colours also blend out really well and easy. All of the shades are nicely pigmented - more than what you would expect from a cheaper makeup brand, and for £10? I think she has done such a good job with this palette. Also, I love the mirror on this palette because it's huge - which is very convenient for travelling.

My second favourite of the month is the Mac Cosmetics Bold & Bad Lash Mascara. I love the concept of this because you get the 2 wands in one mascara. The bigger wand is a cone shaped brush and a perfect size in my opinion because I hate the larger brushes! The second brush is a mini cone shape which is actually in the lid of the mascara and this is for the bottom lashes. The brush is extremely tiny but it is very good for getting right to the root of your bottom lashes. The formula of this makes my top lashes very voluminous and black, and does an amazing job at separating my top and bottom lashes. It does not make them clumpy either which personally I don't mind, but this particular mascara does not do that at all. I find that it is very easy to remove even with a makeup wipe, and the packaging is very cool! It is £19.50 which is expensive as it is Mac, but because you get 2 mascara's in one I think it's completely worth the money.

My third favourite is the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost Highlighter in the shade Ice Cold. This highlight is EVERYTHING. I have been using this for quite a while now and I am always drawn back to it because it is that good! It blends in very well with my skin tone so it does not just look like a line of colour on my face and it does not emphasize my texture. The pigment is so blinding and the shade is so good for us pale girls out there. If you love a strong highlight like I do, then you will love these highlighters.

My fourth favourite is an oldie but certainly a goodie! It's the L'Oreal True Match Foundation. I had this sitting in my make up box for ages until I randomly decided to use it once, and now I can't put it down! I LOVE the formula of this foundation, it is very smooth and creamy. I get a lot of blemishes due to having a combination skin type and the coverage is so good! For me, the coverage last's a full day at work without any top ups. I normally like a thicker consistency to cover my blemishes but I feel that it does the job really well. I would definitely re-purchase.

My last favourite is the Colourpop No Filter Concealer. I love the coverage of this product, it covers my under eyes and blemishes really well and it is not too thick for how well it covers. It also does a really good job of brightening under my eyes, which is always a good thing if you have a bit of discolouration there. The dofer is long, straight and bendy which is good for getting into the corners of your eyes. I love the packaging, it's very sleek and expensive looking. The only downside to this concealer is that it does slightly oxidize so if you do want to buy this, buy a lighter shade than you would usually need. For the price of $7 (£4.59) you do get a decent amount of product as well, it is 100% worth giving it a go!

Where you can buy them:

So those were my October Favourites!
Thank you so much for reading,
